July 19th, Greater Sudbury ON
WELCOME TO THE INAUGURAL N.O.C.A. ROUND UP
This gathering marks a powerful milestone in our fellowship’s journey across Northern Ontario. What began as a few voices of recovery has grown into a vibrant community rooted in unity, service, and hope. On July 19th, we come together not just to celebrate this growth — but to continue it. With powerful speakers, heartfelt connections, and the spirit of fellowship guiding us, this Round Up is a reflection of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go. All are welcome — because together, Thus We Grow.
In the spirit of Tradition Six, C.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution.

N.O.C.A. 2025 Speakers and Panel Members
Jane-Ann M 2:15pm Speaker
We’re grateful to have Jane-Ann opening this year’s Round-Up. Known for her no-nonsense approach and black-and-white perspective, Jane-Ann delivers a message of recovery that leaves no room for guesswork — it’s clear, direct, and deeply impactful. Her strength lies not only in the truth she speaks, but in the spiritual foundation she lives by today.
Reflecting on the theme of this year’s Round-Up — “Thus We Grow” — Jane-Ann shared this meaningful quote:
“But first of all, we shall want sunlight. Nothing much can grow in the dark.”
– Step 11, Page 98 of the 12 & 12
Dan S 4:30pm Speaker
We’re honoured to have Dan S as one of our featured speakers at the Round-Up. Known for his calm presence and thoughtful spirit, Dan has a unique ability to share his experience, strength, and hope in a way that brings clarity, peace, and connection to those who hear him.
“This whole program is about change and growth. It’s impossible to work these steps to the best of our ability and not grow. That’s a promise.” — Dan S
Jay A 7:15pm Keynote Speaker
We are truly blessed to welcome Jay A. from the Toronto area as the keynote speaker for the inaugural N.O.C.A. Round-Up. Known throughout the fellowship for his unwavering commitment to service, Jay continues to give back by carrying the message of recovery wherever he goes. His story is one rooted in spiritual transformation
Jay’s message is clear: recovery is a gift meant to be shared, and growth is not optional. As he puts it:
“If we’re not growing, we’re going!” – Jay A.
Cameron F Founding Members Panel Moderator
We’re proud to welcome Cameron F. as the moderator of our Founders Panel. A passionate and strong-minded member of the fellowship, Cameron has served at the group, area, and world levels — including his current role as the World Archivist for Cocaine Anonymous. His deep knowledge of C.A.’s roots and growth make him the perfect person to help guide this historic conversation.
When asked to reflect on the Round-Up’s theme, “Thus We Grow,” Cameron shared this powerful perspective:
“Thus We Grow”
…November 18, 1982 – 1 Group, 12 C.A. Members
— July 2025 – 79 Areas in 20 Countries, Approximately 6,000 Groups and 60,000 Members.
— Cameron F.
Jim M Founding Members Panelist
We’re deeply honoured to have Jim join the Founders Panel. From the early days of the Ontario fellowship — when there were little more than 40 members across the province — Jim was there. With quiet dedication and enduring presence, he has witnessed and supported the steady growth of our Area ever since.
When asked to reflect on the N.O.C.A. Round-Up’s theme — “Thus We Grow” — Jim shared a simple but powerful reminder:
“Something good is happening.” – Mats Sundin
Charlie L Founding Members Panelist
We’re grateful to welcome Charlie L. to the Founders Panel. Shortly after arriving in the fellowship, Charlie walked side by side with one of Cocaine Anonymous’ earliest members in Canada. Today, he continues that tradition — guiding newcomers and walking with others on the path of recovery. For Charlie, gatherings like this Round-Up are about connection and gratitude:
“A round up is an opportunity to celebrate together what was so freely given us, one on one.” – Charlie L.
Ryan H Founding Members Panelist
We’re honoured to welcome Ryan H. from Ottawa as a panelist on the Founders Panel. Ryan played a key role in helping bring Cocaine Anonymous eastward from Southern Ontario to the Ottawa region. From the very first C.A. meeting in Ottawa in 2019 to today, the fellowship continues to grow — expanding east, west, and north across the province. As Ryan reminds us:
“It’s the common solution that binds us.”
